Nanjing Duck House 0

The most authentic Nanjing Salty Duck, I have bought from this restaurant for years! The old owner was from Nanjing and the recipe was from the most famous duck restaurant in that region, but sadly after Covid they only provided take out service, it still the same quality even after the new owner took over the store! Their duck were purchased from different state, less fat and more tender meet, and the cutting skill kept the way it should be, each piece is thinner and neat!

The restaurant is ran by a lady genuinely from Nanjing. I can tell by her way of speaking Chinese. The salted duck is great. She has a lot of pride in her duck recipe.

new favorite chinese place The BBQ pork is awesome and you get an awesome amount of food on your plate. The old men who works at the counter is accomodating and the lobby where you eat is big and spacious with loungey sofas.

Employees are nice and food is decent. Huge portions and you can order a combination of white rice, fried rice, or chow mein. I personally like the mushroom chicken the most. Don't come here right at open like I did. They only had about 1/3 of the dishes ready. I recommend coming in half an hour after opening.

They used to be New Wok on Peck Rd next to the dealership in the shopping center! They are the best Wok in El Monte! I almost cried after eating their food. We tried other Woks from 5 different cities, NONE of them compare! Have been a customer since I was a kid! So happy they are reopen! It’s our first visit to their new location. Their rice in this visit was a bit too salty and taste slightly different too. But, their signature chow mein is SO good! No other place compares! Their egg roles are also delicious too! Their food quantity is just as big too! You really get your bang for your buck: 2 combo is like $10-$11 and the 3 combo is $12.49ish. They used to have vegetarian/pescatarian options, but not anymore. I hope they have more veggie and seafood options!

We’ve been waiting for this place to open and was finally able to taste it today! We’ve got broccoli beef, mushroom chicken, orange chicken with chow mein, with the side order of shrimp fried rice. All the food tasted so fresh and the flavor was amazing. The portion is too good for the price. It’s enough for the day.

Delicious Chinese food, exceptionally friendly service, good prices. I tried egg and vermicelli fried dumplings and the fried beef and cumin dumplings which are similar to empanadas. I also enjoyed the pan-fried pork dumplings. They generously asked how many soups we would like, and gave us four egg flower soups for free. The inside of the restaurant was clean and spacious. Highly recommend!

This dumpling spot is reasonably priced and has a simple but clean dining area. The menu is quite limited. The dumplings appear to be a more Westernized take — the filling is a bit salty, the beef has a sticky texture, and the wrappers lack the chewy bite you’d typically expect. The flavors seem adjusted to suit broader, local tastes, which some may enjoy more than others. They also serve a complimentary corn and egg drop soup, which was a thoughtful touch, though it leans on the sweeter side. Parking is easy and convenient. Overall, it’s a decent place for a quick meal, I only have dumping, but probably not one I’d go out of my way to return to.

Ordered 2 items: sweet & ginger pork rib, and Chinese meat balls. With flying noodle. Not prepared food package, but real cooked stuffs.

First time checking it out. Girl in a hurry food didn't have labels so I asked what it was she was giving attitude. Then asked for fried rice. She gave white I'm like girl bye. So went back to get exchanged she said something in her native tongue. Very rude.

Language barrier was definitely an issue on this trip. Three “aunties” working and none spoke a word of English. That’s not the real issue though, as I was able to get what I went for which was some crispy roasted pork. Ruby down the street was closed (even though they were supposed to be open), so I searched and found Auntie’s. Ideally, I would have ordered a two item combo as I saw in a previous order pictured, but didn’t find it on the menu. Oh well, pointed to it hanging and settled for a pound, which I assumed was the minimum since they kept saying “one pound” over and over :). I agreed, but then it came to 1.5lbs and I’m the only one eating. No biggie. I love left overs. I wanted some hainan chicken and rice to offset the richness of the pork, but they pointed to what looked like a duck, but said it was chicken. Not hainan style and no rice, but I’m tired and getting hungry so asked for half only. Once I get home and try the “chicken”, I’m confirmed it’s duck and it’s not very flavorful. Oh well, I just won’t eat as much and have plenty of leftovers. Then I get to the roasted pork which looks great, but once intook a bite, I realized the piece has been there all day and was chewy instead of crispy. Decent flavor, but not great and without the crispy skin, total bummer. A couple of minutes in the air fryer and lots of siracha made it edible. Again, not bad but not all that good either. Oh well, at least infelt like I helped a small business of auntie’s :) Pro tip: don’t go near closing time. Take pics of what you want or take someone who speaks Mandarin :)

I was in the area with my friend & we were looking for a noodle soup spot. This had some great reviews and the pictures looked good. I ordered the mayonnaise shrimp, bbq pork noodle soup, wonton soup and others. The mayo shrimp was excellent and reminds me of walnut shrimp at other locations. The bbq pork of the noodle soup was delicious and the broth was on point. I would definitely come back and try their other menu items. Parking was descent and a great spot to get some noodle soup.

Very affordable dim sum with quick service. Stumbled upon this place on a Monday around noon and the place was packed. You pick the dim sum items from a menu and they will steam it and bring it to your table. They also have a line for take out dim sum. I enjoyed the seafood dumpling, porridge and spare ribs. Most of the food was food was pretty standard, but the chicken feet were kinda sour and the turnip cake was too dry (they only pan fried it alone, didn't add any eggs so it was tough and dry).

the price is reasonable starting to get packed around 10 am during sunday steamed chashu bao is alright i like the bread bun one better shaomai is pretty good i like their turnip cake as well thousand years egg porridge is amazing, remember to ask for the white pepper i just dont like the taro coconut dessert

Won’t be coming here anymore.. the food is good don’t get me wrong but they never fail to find hair in my food it’s not the first time it’s happen to me various occasions and i always have to return or throw it away.. i have given them chances to try the food again but one thing i have noticed is that the employees in the back don’t make the effort to wear hair nets or anything of that sort so if your gonna come here check your food 🫢

A tray full of delicious and filling cuisine for just about 11 bucks, you already know the deal. Gets the job done. Kind customer service too.

Personally I think this is the best Chinese food in the area. The menu isn't large, but each item tastes good, a 2 item combo costs less than $10, which is a steal in this day and age.

I went looking for crab legs. They had them, but they no longer had hot crab legs. These were cold. The food was still good, but not as amazing as I remembered their dishes to be. The service was way off. I did not see any of the waitress smiling, nor did they seem happy to help. It will be a good minute before I visit this establishment again.

Another buffet called "China Great Buffet". Here Lunch on weekday from Momday till Friday only $16.99/person. They serve sushi, seafood, soups and much more chinese food. They got so much dessert too from fruits til ice cream, they even have popcorn! But when you come here  you have to pay first before you start to eat. While the tipping you may give it up to you and put on your table before you leave. There is one food that from many of chonese buffet they dont have but here they have its Pork feet! If you love pork feet, so here the.right place to eat, beside the taste good they porkn feet also soft not like other place.
