The Rising Pot 小吃小喝麻辣燙
This malatang restaurant is an absolute gem! The bone soup (my favorite) is incredibly flavorful, and you can really taste the difference, they don’t rely on premade soup base packages, but instead cook their own broth from scratch. They have a variety of options that are unique such as snakehead fish slices, pork blood cake, and different shapes of rice cakes. Will definitely come again!
The restaurant had a warm and inviting atmosphere, with comfortable seating. The ingredients, such as beef and pork, were tender and juicy, and the broth was simply outstanding. The chef prepares your meal in just 5 minutes, making it an excellent choice for dinner. I highly recommend this restaurant.
New Garden M
I’ve come to this restaurant for over 20+ years. It was always a go to Chinese-Korean place. Recently the ownership changed and they remodeled but I was scared the food might taste different. Thank God the food still tastes delicious! Now with better service and cleaner atmosphere, we still come here often! 12/25/2024 An update: We order to-go at least twice a month here, and I've been noticing the food quality changes whenever they are busy. Today I ordered a to-go of jjajangmyun plate. I understand the fact that it was busy due to the holiday, but the noodles were way overcooked and soggy.. the beef was way too hard.. please... be consistent.. Although I wanted to give one star for today's food, I'm keeping a 3 star for the good experience I had previously. I will post another update in the near future hoping for better experience.
I’ve had the same types of dishes (jajjangmyun, tangsuyuk, mapo tofu) at many other chinese/korean places and new garden’s take on these dishes is super flavorful and distinct. I heard this place is under new management and a new menu, and I have to say the service and staff was awesome and the food was delicious. Will definitely be back.
Chengdu Taste
Place was really busy late on a Sunday night. Interaction with staff is minimal - you scan a QR code at your table to see the menu, order online, and they bring it to you as the kitchen has it ready. Food was good, although not as good as it was when we last visited 2 months ago.
This the best Schechuan food in this area. So glad they have a location here in Rowland Heights so we don’t have to trek down near Alhambra. We order the fish fillet in hot chi sauce and the pork intestine dry pot. Spit fire is all I can think of to describe the tastes but it was so flavorful! Scan the QR code to order and enjoy. Service was fast and efficient.
Na Jia Cafe
Passed this place a couple times, but never thought about giving it a try until today, as the interior looks so dark from outside. The interior is actually bright and clean. The restaurant claims that they provide NE Chinese food. We ordered 3 different dishes and they all tasted decent. Will come back to something else in the future.
Great taste of hometown flavors. Loved the "Guo Bao Rou". Best one so far I have ever had in LA.
East Town Yard Fried Chicken 大院炒鸡
If you’re looking for a truly unique dining experience, East Town Yard Fried Chicken is a must-visit. From the moment you step inside, you’re transported to a nostalgic 70s-era China with the restaurant's quirky decor. The red brick walls and enamel plates evoke a sense of vintage charm, while the slogan wall adds a playful touch, making it a perfect blend of culture and creativity. Now, let's talk about the food—this place is a game-changer. The northern-style stir-fried chicken is unlike anything you've had before. Tender chicken, packed with flavor, is stir-fried to perfection—not deep-fried—allowing the natural taste of the meat to shine through. The spices are perfectly balanced, offering a delightful kick without overwhelming the palate. Every dish here feels authentically Chinese, with rich flavors that are both comforting and exciting. What truly sets this place apart is the attention to detail in every aspect—from the food to the ambiance. The staff is friendly and welcoming, and you can tell they take pride in what they serve. Whether you're a fan of traditional Chinese cuisine or looking to try something new, East Town Yard Fried Chicken offers a memorable dining experience you won’t soon forget. Highly recommend!
Great food, great service, and great atmosphere. The chicken was slightly dry, but not enough to ruin it. My favorite dish was the fried eggplant with clams (super delicious, I highly recommend it!!) Definitely will be back to try even more of their dishes!
Happiness Restaurant
An old favorite appears to be fading, along with the empty building. Hope they will return
Their Food is bomb
骨里香熟食 Gu Li Xiang Shu Shi
Recommended by a friend, I came here to try it. The taste is average and the price is a bit expensive.
Be there about 7:45 but closed, showed up as opening till 8:30

疆来MA'S KITCHEN
The Best food. Xianjian province halal Chinese. Hand made noodles, lamb polov dumplings everything.... The eight flower tea is amazing. Amazing service. Don't miss the tandoor naan. Traditional bread. My fav
Overall, the experience was good, except for the soup. We ordered the sweet and sour soup, and it was overly salty. If you’ve had it at ma’s house restaurant, you’ll find it quite different from what they serve here. Additionally, they don’t provide a proper soup spoon, which was a bit inconvenient.
Phoenix Food Boutique - City of Industry
Always like food here. Not many dine-in, but a lot of take-out. 7/26/24 update: ordered string beans, crispy noodle with beef, and walnut shrimp. String beans are a bit tough. The other 2 dishes are good.
Great Chinese desserts. My wife and I loved the Durian rolls and the Mochi. The Hainan chicken was also very good.
LT Shanghai Restaurant
1st time here. We booked 2 of their "private room", and I was a bit worried, as the minimum is $300 per room. Turns out, I feel it's totally worth it, as this place is very packed during the dining hours. We can enjoy the "private time" with families, without being bothered by others. All food tastes great. The duck, cooked in 2 ways, is a bit pricey, based on the portions. Other than that, we are happy with this place.
Ate lunch special on Sunday! Food was delicious. Their sesame pancakes are really special. I’ve add the thick pancake before but not the thin sesame pancake (see photos) and it was so good. Highly recommend. Parking was plentiful.
Sichuan Sizzling 龙腾轩
As someone who’s half from Chongqing, I have to say — this place is absolutely amazing!! No misses at all!!! Even before I came, I felt confident because I heard the original team from Sanhe Zhu had opened this place. And sure enough, when I saw the tofu pudding (douhua), I immediately guessed they made it themselves — and the auntie at the restaurant confirmed it! No wonder it tastes just like the flavors from my childhood back home in Chongqing. Top tier, absolutely top tier. Follow my photos when you order — you won’t go wrong!
Hole in the wall alert! Good food, good portions, good prices, what more do you want? This place has amazing food without all that MSG. This is definitely a hidden gem that you should try out.
