Waited 20 minutes before they took our order, 24 minutes before we got our food, got moved from table to table during the first 30 minutes. They shouldn't have sat us if they were going to move us, we could have tried korean bbq nearby instead. Wouldn't have mind waiting if the food was worth waiting for. Ordered eggrolls 1/5 (5 spices used on the cabbage, jack in the box egg rolls taste better than those), sizzling rice soup 3/5, too much pepper was used, but it was the best thing there other than the cans of coke), braised green beans 1/5 - sour from their heavy use of garlic from a jar), salt and pepper calamari 1/5 - super hard and dry, no salt on them, shrimp fried rice 1/5- tasteless, no wok flavor, mushy shrimps (sat in defrosted water). Disappointing experience to say the least.

This place has been around for a while. They have a lunch special which is a very good portion for one and you can easily take home half. I just needed to try the Mongolian beef since I've been craving it. Lunch special comes with an egg flower or hot&sour soup, a fried dumpling and rice/fried rice with your entree. Also to check out the prices since the menu had not been updated in the posts I've seen. So here it is. If you want try this place out, food is not bad. Let's say comfort food when you need it. Prices are updated on the pictures I'm posting. Enjoy 😉

I ask them before I order the chicken fried rice if it was the chicken and rice sitting in the front they said no,I ordered it ,this is the WORST chicken fried rice ever the chicken and rice both were dry like all they did was add a egg and vegetables, I am very disappointed and I refuse to eat this garbage I wasted my money on this garbage, lesson learned WILL NOT EVER go back here again ,it's sad how they lied to me☹️☹️☹️

Not bad. Not bad at all. Quite tasty. Not greasy. A good amount of food for the price. 3 item combo roughly $14. Orange chicken & jalapeno chicken, eggrolls. Other, orange chicken, Kung pao chicken, eggrolls. Rice has peas & carrots. Just a tad dry.

Best Chinese place .very fresh they even put it to go for you . Which is nice and desert at the end that they give you

Food here is always so good. Service is fast, even with some grumpy servers. Atmosphere is ok, just a true eatery, nothing spectacular.

Didn’t expect much when I came in. The taste truly amazed me, tastes almost identical to what I had back in Beijing. Great portion, awesome taste, chill servers. It’s got it all. Definitely will come back. Totally worth it.

Came on a Saturday night before closing, and we were sat right away. We ordered the chicken fried rice, orange chicken, house beef noddle soup, and pork soup dumplings. The fried rice and dumplings were our favorite. This place can get packed because it is small so it just depends. All this food was $59.22

Food Everything was great!!! Some of the food was a little salty for my taste (I only eat out on weekends, and I eat home cooked food during the week), but the food was still very tasty. This is probably the most I have enjoyed dim sum at Lunasia in the past 5-7 years. Dim sum was not always my favorite, but it has grown on me. Service The servers were very attentive with the water and tea refills, provided the small bowl and spoon for rice (easier to eat than chopsticks on a plate), sugar, & lemon slices as requested. The only thing I would recommend is when the server gives you the to-go boxes, to not just throw the to-go boxes/bags, don't just throw them on the table like you don't care. I just laughed it off, but I would recommend paying attention to those small details, as other people may not be as forgiving. Might just be a cultural thing. Atmosphere I really enjoyed the different versions of the acoustic (calm) style of music that was playing. Really gives you a sense of calm to enjoy your food. Very relaxing even with all the commotion from other parties. Overall I still feel that Sam Woo Cafe (1st) vs. Lunasia (very close 2nd) is on the top of my list (my preference), only because of their vietnemese coffee, but other than that, Lunasia and Sam Woo are pretty close on food quality. The prices might be the only factor that differentiates the two restaurants and customer service. Give both a try. I believe Lunasia can seat more people. The actual wait time was supposed to be 10-20 minutes, but it took less than that to be texted to be seated. Very impressed. Enjoy!!!

Found this recommendation on Reddit - have been searching for an authentic Dim Sum location and have had to get out of Irvine to find it! Food: Flavors are authentic, xiolongbao had the soup inside and pork flavors did not taste bloody at all, very 鮮. Both the shui mai and the prawn dumplings were unconventionally massive - enjoyers of these dumplings will have a great time - if you only find these to be so-so, perhaps the size will be off-putting. The skins in the pastry has added sugar I think - this helps bring out the fresh flavor of the pork and prawns. However in the Chinese donut, this means they are slightly sweet - which does change the flavors somewhat from the 'traditional' version. I did enjoy that you were able to order in quantities of 4,6, or 10 (I believe) for the steamed dumplings- a qr code and online ordering system is provided. Soy sauce is provided at the table alongside chili but you have the option to pay more for their house sauces on the side Things to consider: The turnip cake is made with diced turnip as opposed to sliced/grated turnip, which means it doesn't hold well together due to the moisture - the flavors are somewhat less intense than what I was expecting. The prawn 腸粉 skins were quite thick, and did not appear to be sweetened unlike the prawn dumplings. The food is very reasonably priced, service was quick and prompt. Tea was approx 5/pp - there is the option to just have water instead which is free. Dim sum was decently priced at approx 7$ for 4 dumplings - for 5 dishes we spent 60 USD (with tip) for two people (plus tea) Overall: in my opinion, this is a top location if you live in Irvine and are willing to drive 25-35 mins - we visited Saturday around 11:30am and there was only a 15 min wait. We will definitely come back as it is the best we've found so far! Perhaps more research is needed before crowning this place as the king in socal though~!

We ordered pickup from Tasty Noodle House on January 18th because I had a craving for dumplings. I’m so glad we did! The order was quickly made, the pickup process was simple, and the food was absolutely delicious. I can’t wait to order from here again!

Nice new trendy Taiwanese cuisine restaurant in Cerritos. Food was very tasty and flavorful. Customer service could be improved but understandable because many Chinese restaurants don't focus on customer service.

GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE - IS NOT ANTIQUATED Gonzalo is unfortunately an ill-experienced manager. After paying for our meal with a credit/debit card, we asked a team member for change to break a $20 bill so that we could tip the restaurant. After waiting for 10 minutes for Gonzalo (the manager) to return from the restroom, to address our request; Gonzalo rudely stated that it was against company policy to make change. We asked to return/refund the transaction back to the card so that we could re-purchase the meal with cash instead. Without any respectful explanation, he again replied that that was against company policy. We asked if he could perform the request with respect to avoid a poor customer service experience, and he again stated that that would be against company policy. Critical thinking, good judgment, and courteous customer service were clearly not of any interest to Gonzalo. The other staff members, Nicholas and Cinthya remained professional, friendly, and warmly accommodating. We will not be returning to this location - after over a decade of patronage. Gonzalo could benefit from enhanced training.

I’m here all the time but today I’m extremely disappointed. Walked in at 10:10, they don’t close until 10:30 but they said they couldn’t make any orange chicken anymore. I would’ve understood if I was late but I was way earlier than closing time 😐

Very good, the cashier were very nice, we went there twice this week and would go again! Their chicken is VERY crispy and good compared to Jollibee (But still an amazing restaurant). Didn’t have gravy unfortunately but the chicken made it even better! The chicken mami is so good, the noodles were soft and chewy and the broth was amazing. The siopao and the sauce is always amazing! Would go many times again! Service did not disappoint.

My mom, nephew, and I had breakfast at Chowking Cerritos today, and it was a really pleasant experience! We ordered two entree breakfast, one Laurent entrée, chao fan, and six asado siopao to go. Everything was delicious and satisfying. The food was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The asado siopao, in particular, was a standout – deliciously savory and a great treat for later. We left feeling full and happy, and the service was excellent as well. Thank you Jon and Chrish for the splendid service! Highly recommend this branch! Thank you, Chowking!

First time dining at this place. My uncle invited me to join his group of friends for lunch. I'm surprised that our server is a Filipina, named Celina. She's nice, always checks up on us and made sure we get our drinks refilled. Food is good and serving is great! The only thing I don't like much is the Peach Boba Breeze, for me it's too sweet. I have to add some water to lessen the sweetness.

Joshua was our server he provided great service and was very attentive to us ,the food was awesome everything tasted great and the drinks were great ! Would definitely be back if service is this awesome again !

I got a plate from here and my chow mein had tons of veggies, I know we get veggies in it obviously but I didn’t think this much! Hopefully I can get this made up somehow bc this was awful :/

Came in on a busy Superbowl Sunday for lunch. There are only a few employees working in the front. Very professional, courteous, and hard working at this location.
