Yuanbao Jiaozi
Got the house special beef noodle soup, beef xlb, chicken corn dumplings in chilli oil, and napa cabbage pork dumplings. The star of the show were the noodles. Beef was tender, soup had a lot of flavor and depth, and noodles were great be cause it absorbed the soup flavor. 9/10 The beef xlb super nice and flavorful. 8/10 The dumplings dough texture was bouncy and how they were wrapped were great. It wasn't the best filling I had in comparison to other spots but a good 7/10. Would come back again for primarily the beef noodle soup
We ordered the pig ear and the cucumber salad with chili oil sauce, and ordered boiled dumplings and some dumpling soup with seaweed. The dumpling dough is very fresh and plump, while the filling is well seasoned and juicy. This was my second visit and it’s always full of local Chinese families dining in, which is a vote of confidence for authenticity and taste. Overall, the food was simple, delicious, and comforting. The bill came out to $60 including tip, it’s a great place to visit if you are craving some dumplings with your friends/family.
Happy Chef
The lunch special is a great deal and it,,,'s so delicious. Decor is basic and simple: it's not a date place but if you're looking for simple good Chinese food at a good price this is hard to beat!
Happy Chef not a 4 star restaurant. It’s a hole in the wall Chinese place that’s not clean. The service is mediocre. I ordered the Generals Chicken with rice for the lunch special for $8.00. It looked and tasted like sweet and sour chicken that was slightly spicer. They used both red chilies and jalapeño in huge pieces. The taste was slightly bland and overly sweet. Lots of oil was on my plate after. No water was offered and I was afraid to ask as the place didn’t look great. I’m all for mediocre cheap Chinese good, but at least make it good. I get Chinese food at least once a week and every time you get soup and some type of appetizer (one egg roll) included. Go elsewhere for your Chinese meal.
Full House
Absolutely unacceptable hygiene standards. I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience was beyond disgusting. Halfway through my meal, I found what was clearly a nostril hair embedded in my food. It wasn’t just a stray hair,it was thick, coarse, and unmistakable. I lost my appetite instantly and couldn’t believe something so vile made it onto my plate. When I brought it to the staff’s attention, the response was indifferent at best. No apology, no concern for food safety, just a casual offer to replace the dish,as if that could erase what I saw. If basic hygiene isn't a priority here, I truly worry about what else goes unnoticed in the kitchen. I strongly urge anyone who values cleanliness and health to think twice before dining here.
Incredible traditional “old school” Americanized Chinese food. Lots of the classic choices. Fresh hot and tasty. Generous with the sauces and the chicken was moist and delicious.
