Good Fortune Chinese Restaurant
Good and service was outstanding. It was out first time here but we will be back. Great price and value for the lunch menu.
Awesome food and service! Not to mention that the inside of the restaurant just got redone and looks great. I love the egg drop soup with white pepper. The chicken fried rice and sesame chicken were delicious. I don't know what sauce came with the steamed dumplings but it was so good. If u live in the surprise area I recommend Good Fortune!
New Asian Kitchen
Best Chinese Food in Arizona & affordable!!! I've enjoyed their food for over 20 years & it's consistently hot fresh and delicious!!! I moved over 80 miles away and whenever I'm in town I will pick up their food because nothing even gets close to it where I live now!!!
8/24/24: running an errand in this part of town and got hungry. Since I had a craving for crab puffs, we found New Asian Kitchen. Plenty of parking, service was polite and quick, a delicious drink place a couple doors down, and easy access to the freeway. Their bathroom was a little sketchy, though. I felt like I was walking down a short, unsafe alley in Brooklyn. New Asian Kitchen was good, but despite the odd flavor in my sesame beef dish, everything else was delicious: crab puffs (we even ordered a second dish to take home!), egg drop soup, and the mushroom chicken. The sesame beef was not horrible but there was an odd taste I could not identify at first. I only had a few bites anyway because we scarfed down the crab puffs and practically licked out the bowl of the soup. LOL! My sister's mushroom chicken was way better tasting than my beef dish, nothing odd with hers. When I tried to eat my leftover sesame beef later for dinner, I concluded the odd flavor taste was fish. I do not like seafood at all. My sister's sense of smell sucks and she was unwilling to try a bite, but I am positive the odd taste was from fish. I can only think it was there because they cooked the beef in the same pan as fish...? New Asian is not in our neighborhood so not sure we would stop in again. If it's more local to you, though, I would give it a go -- just beware the sesame beef. Unless you like fish flavors, then go for it.
PongPong Chinese Cuisine
I just wanted to thank the cook because I have always had the same thing and it's so good every single time. I really appreciate the consistency over the many years I have been going here it's been around 30 years now. It's what I want when I don't feel good and also what I want when I celebrate too. I love the chicken egg foo young and house chicken and white rice my go to it never disappoints always good.
Pong Pong's has been my go-to Chinese restaurant for over a decade now. They are the gold standard of variety, taste, value, and service. So many delicious options with generous portion sizes at unbeatable prices! You will not be disappointed.
Chino Bandido
It's been a while... this place is a unique, Phoenix landmark! I stopped in for some take out, the service was welcoming and as usual the food was delicious. I absolutely despise refried beans from anywhere but here. If you like a crazy twist on Asian and Mexican food give it a try.
Im genuinely really impressed with this place. The food was great. The tastes and flavors just work. I got the Pollo Diablo and the Jade Red Chicken. My husband got the Pollo Diablo and Jen Red Pork. Absolutely would recommend that people stop here when they are in the area.
Uncle Panda Dumpling & Noodle House
A solid 4 stars all around. Service was pleasant and quick. The food, while we tried a bunch of different dishes were good however I believe they needed one more level of flavor to really set them off. Yes they had a couple different sauces on the table but a true dish in my eyes should put need anything else added to it.
I had their soup dumplings and some beef noodle soup. The beef noodle soup is delicious. The soup dumplings were alright. I would order them again to see if I liked them. But its a cute restaurant and great service.
Pacific Seafood Buffet
Overall, fairly impressed with this buffet. Came on a Sunday evening and was quite busy. All you can eat crab legs….might take awhile to crack out the sumptuous meat but it’s well worth it. Sushi was above average and there was a good selection of other Asian style dishes. Lots of it fresh. dessert was okay but did the trick. Pretty good for $21 each.
This place is like a Chinese buffet on steroids. All of the normal Chinese stuff, sushi, and lots of seafood (crab, crawfish, clams, mussels, tons of shrimp). The only negative on the seafood was a lot was deep fried (like the large shrimp and crab) which wasn't to my liking.
Island Teriyaki
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Five stars for Island teriyaki! I recently had a fantastic meal here. The rice was perfectly cooked and seasoned, and the white meat chicken was incredibly tender and flavorful. While the dark meat wasn't quite as outstanding, it was still good. Overall, the quality of the food was excellent, and the portions were generous. The restaurant itself has a lovely atmosphere, with beautiful Asian art displayed on the walls. It makes for a very pleasant dining experience. I highly recommend Jerry and can't wait to go back!
Service is great. Bulgogi bowl was good. My son enjoyed his meal which was meat over rice.
Yi's Chinese Restaurant
It's with a heavy heart that I write this review. Yi's Restaurant, a beloved local gem, has sadly closed its doors. The news came as a shock to many, including myself. I've countless fond memories of dining at Yi's. The food was consistently delicious, the service was always warm and welcoming, and the atmosphere was cozy and inviting. It was more than just a restaurant; it was a place where families and friends gathered to share good food and good company. While I'm saddened by the closure, I'm grateful for the many years of delicious meals and wonderful experiences. I wish the family behind Yi's all the best in their future endeavors. Thank you for everything. **Note** If anyone finds a somewhat similar local chinese food place, please let me know. Thanks.
Super delicious! Ordered online and went to pick up and didn’t even have to wait more than 2 minutes for my order! Friendly staff and got a free pop with my order too. Ordered 1 Kung Pao Chicken combo plate with fried rice and an egg roll and 1 orange chicken combo plate with fried rice and an egg roll. Way better than Panda Express!! And CHEAPER, only like $7 bucks. Definitely will be back. Also both orders where Medium Spicy-ness.. wasn’t that hot so if you like it spicy, order it hotter.
Panda Express
Theresa was super welcoming and seemed grateful that we stopped by. This time coming around, there was plenty of fresh hot food to choose from. I was shocked to see the general manager work this late (8:42pm). I let her know my experience and she was very apologetic and quick to get to the bottom of the issue. Assured me that It will not happen again and I definitely believe her. I decided to edit this post instead of removing it for GM’s future reference If needed. I came to this Panda Express at 8:20 PM, well before their closing time, and was extremely disappointed. There were only a couple of entrées available, and the staff had already started closing up the store early. When I asked how long it would take to prepare black pepper chicken, I was told it would be 35 minutes! I had already driven here and was starving, so I reluctantly chose something I don’t even like that much just to avoid leaving empty-handed. If they’re open until a certain time, they should be fully stocked with food until then. This felt like a half-hearted operation, and it was clear they were prioritizing their convenience over customer service. I won’t be coming back to this location.
We ordered the carryout Family Meal for $35. The chow mein side and the Honey Sesame Chicken were very good! But take a look at the picture of that miniscule amount of meat in the Broccoli and Beef. We got 2 containers like that. That's ridiculous! This isn't the first time this has happened with the same item. But it's too late to do anything about it when you're all the way home. I believe this is our last visit. Too bad.
Chef Panda
I ordered General Tso chicken and get plain fried chicken with a side of Tao sauce in a foam Dixie cup. I order orange chicken and it's the same... The "fried rice" is just white rice with soy sauce. It took over an hour for delivery when it was supposed to take 45 minutes. The food was sub par and cold when we got it. The only good thing from this order was the delivery drive was nice and apologized for taking so long. So glad I spent 60$ on this junk. I would never recommend this place to anyone.
Everytime we’ve gone to this store from restaurant we are always greeted and the folks have always been friendly. We dine in usually but they do have take out. I’m actually craving their sesame chicken right now. It’s SOOOO good! The prices are average but the food is very good and always comes out piping hot and fresh. The atmosphere is less desirable but it doesn’t matter if you have your family there for good conversation. Enjoy yourself and savor the food.
Pei Wei Asian Kitchen
I haven't eaten at Pei Wei in years, but i used to eat at it regularly in Texas, so I know what the quality should be. The food I received was pretty disgusting. I ordered crab wontons and they were OK, but not worth the almost $9 cost. I ordered the tradional shrimp with extra veggies and brown rice and I have never had food DROWNED in sauce like this before. My entree was practically soup it had so much sauce poured in it. This is not how most people like their food. I tasted nothing but sauce. This is not edible! I have taken pictures, but I'm not sure I'll have a way to post, as I don't see an an attachment option. I should have read the reviews ( I normally do) for they are accurate about the quality of this food. I'm not sure if all the AZ Pei Wei are like this, but I won't be trying another one, for a while. With the cost of food these days, I'm am very upset and extremely disappointed, as I don't "treat" myself often. This location is not really close to me, as i picked it up on the way home from an appt. Otherwise I would have taken it back and demanded a refund. $24 in the trash!!!😠
I’ll probably give this place one more chance because the flavors were great. But I bit into some questionable chicken pieces, and what is with the dipping sauce container being 1/5 full??? Really rationing it out.
Panda Express
Everything is pretty good, food can’t be perfect all the time with how everything has to be setup, but the teamwork and initiative the workers have was great. Especially having a long line with some tough customers I witnessed, their patience was admirable. Atmosphere was great, kept everything positive despite a complication here or there. Food tastes great, cooked of course, and only a minor coating tear in the shrimp, not a big deal. Customer service, great.
When I go to Panda Express, I don’t expect much. I will get mediocre food that hits the right spot with some mediocre service as well. Not here. This experience was better. We came at a very busy time, but those workers ran through the line like it was nothing. Salama checked us out at the end and she was the cherry on top of the whole experience. She was incredibly personable and fun. She even got me to donate the rest of my change to a charity. It’s not much, and not usually something I do, but how could I say no to Salama? 10/10 my new favorite Panda Express!
