Reathrey Sekong
So after eyeing the photos of food from this restaurant, I finally made a trip down to Indian School Rd. Honestly, I was prepared for my mouth to not fulfill the promise made by my eyes, because how could their food taste as good as it looked?? Let me get to the bottom line: this is the restaurant I’ve been looking for since moving here from the Bay Area. Coming to Phoenix from what is arguably a Mecca for Asian flavors has been… disappointing and challenging. Reathray Sekong was exactly what I was missing and frankly I left the restaurant with what can only be described as gratitude that they are in operation. Do not be fooled by the humble location! The restaurant is charming inside with great service (by a young man with an epic mustache) as well as spotless plates and silverware (fork/metal chopstick). It’s also worth noting the climate control was fine with temp outside at 108. I had student noodles w/ shrimp and the bbq plate - both were fantastic. Flavors were fragrant and complex with no heavy handed use of salts or sugars. Meats were not conspicuously fatty but were moist and really flavorful. Textures in the noodle dish were varied through use of herbs and crisp cabbage. Finely minced Thai chili was provided to me on request for some heat but most will probably not need/want. Only made it halfway through the two dishes, so portion sizes are generous. Check came to 39, a bargain in my opinion. Can’t wait to go back and try some of their seafood dishes. Thank you Reathray Sekong!👍🙏😀
The food is so good here! I usually get the student noodles or the lemongrass soup, but recently we had the curry soup and the green mango fish. The flavors are beautifully balanced and feel like home cooking. I think more people would eat here if they knew about it.
New Hong Kong Restaurant
Very satisfied my father and decided to try a new spot and found this place on google and let me tell you it was delicious we started off with the egg soup and I added chili oil to my soup cause I like spice it was good. the food came out, the presentation was very nice I like when a plate looks good u just want to eat it. Cause u know what they say u eat with ur eyes 👀 and our servers were very nice and attentive that’s very important to my so I’m happy all around. So if ur wondering if this place is good it is.
DISGUSTING. Old food!!! The cucumbers were limp and super sweet, the soup was just brown liquid. No ingredients or green onions. Nothing!!!! They should get FOOD INSPECTION! No one in there sounds Chinese.
Desert Jade Restaurant
Food here tasted great! Pricing is awesome. We’re traveling from another state to here and here is the first restaurant we tried. Nice!! I’d recommend to my friends
I love Desert Jade ! This is my new go to for great Chinese food .. The wait staff is great. And the owner checks on his customers. Very nice atmosphere. Reasonable prices , and great food !
Pei Wei Asian Kitchen
I like this place, tasty and large portions, everyone is welcoming and everything is clean. My suggestion is that some dishes are too sweet feels like too much sweet sauce. It’s good anyway!
Very unfortunate experience. My family and I went here for dinner at 5pm. We were the only ones in the restaurant and the kitchen was preparing a few to go orders but absolutely dead inside. We ordered the feast meal. The dumplings it came with were served to us frozen. The girl working the front came with a bowl took them off the plater and took them back to the kitchen to finish cooking them. I thought this seemed like a sanitary issue since it was already at our table and touched by our fork and we definitely couldn’t eat them being that they are frozen. The feast meal also comes with donuts and a frosting. We were given a frosting that was already used, mind you this plater cost about $50 plus. Again the lady just starred at me and has nothing to say so I proceeded to let her know I was finished with this horrible experience and I will post a review to make sure other people are aware of the service and food being given. Nothing nada no apology refund nothing. Took the used frosting and walked away.
Loving Hut
Outstanding service by Finley! We felt very much welcome. We stopped at this lovely restaurant on our way out of Phoenix. The burgers were great. I had the tofu teriyaki burger. It was very juicy and tasty. Only thing I didn’t like were the fries. They were a bit dry. Sadly didn’t try and of the desserts. But they looked great! Would definitely recommend this place to any vegans passing by in the area.
When we arrived, there four four tables seated, who had not yet been served, and a take-out order of 5 or 6 grocery bags being assembled. This phone order pretty much overwhelmed the place, and it didnt recover while we were there. One table asked for its food to go, having waited 40 mins. Door Dashers waited a half hour. We waited a half hour, and got two dishes befor the table of 6 (seated before us) even got appetizers. the two-person staff was courteous, efficient, harried, running back and forth and generally apologetic. It was a bad situation of being "over booked" but they acknowledged this and were sorry for it. Our noodle dishes were perfect (chow fun, pad thai.) the eggroll appetizer (two rolls cut in half) was not worth the cost. there was no spicy sauce (sriracha, e.g.) but there was hot mustard, and that was super tasty. we enjoyed out meal. atmosphere is zero.
China Village Restaurant
China Village is the best Chinese food I have ate to this day. The egg roll had the greatest crunch I’ve ever crunched. The service was immaculate, the little waiter lady is the sweetest! I didn’t catch her name unfortunately but you will definitely meet her, she make the experience so much better! The interior is beautiful and quiet. You get a big serving of food for cheap! Try their lunch deals, the meal in the picture was $8!!!!! Their soup bowls are $1!!!! Trust me, you will not regret eating here :)
Okay place with good space. Not impressed with the lady who is also an owner I believe who was rushing when we arrived. I can understand the closing time but we didn’t get the enough time to look and order something so we went what my friends recommended as they visited the place more frequently. It can be improved. I also felt a comment which was not needed but I won’t add it here. Still giving three stars for Kung Pao and Teriyaki chicken and the chef who is good at it and my friends were praising him. The chicken fried was not good compared my other visits at different Chinese restaurants.
Panda Express
I usually wait until I finish my food to review but, this place just made my day even better, all the staff is Latino and bilingual, very friendly, smiling and treating customers awesome 👌since you open the door is all smiles and a very fun welcoming to you. Place is very clean, fast service, good atmosphere. I hv been there in different states different pandas 🐼 and this is the first time an employee stop by the tables to make sure you are OK or need anything. 👌👏👏👏 Congrats to this team.
This place is slow but the upside of that is the food is always fresh. I ordered a bigger plate which was 2 orange chickens and 1 beef and broccoli. They put the beef and broccoli in the red takeout container. Might as well have ordered super greens because when I opened the beef and broccoli it was all broccoli and two tiny, sad pieces of beef. Sad to pay for an actual side but they skimp out on the meat part of it.
Autumn Court Chinese Restaurant
We have this delivered to our work quite often. I love the food options. The mild is a bit on the spicy side though.
I’ve been going here for over 10 years. The food tonight, almost $100, was terrible! I tried reaching out to the establishment before posting this three times. No call back. Maybe I should try approaching the owner at the Hideaway Bar where he hangs out. Food has definitely gone down hill.
Rice Garden
I am an Uber and Lyft driver who drive around Phoenix metro. I always go to Rice garden when I am in Scottsdale. The food is very good and the customer service is excellent. The food price is reasonable too. I will recommend them.
We really wanted to like this, this place is so close to me. Unfortunately the egg drop soup smelled and tasted like dirty dish water, the chicken chow mein and orange chicken tasted like old burned oil. The food did not leave us feeling good. Not good.
