Being mostly plant-based , our daughter is constantly searching for new restaurants based on IG reviews. This restaurant was recommended and we were happy to try them out. There were two ordering options, either off the menu or through an POS system via iPad for the all you can eat menu. We chose this menu to try a variety of options. The food was tasteless and cold. The hot&sour soup was warm and the best out of all the dishes I tasted. Not clearly understanding the ordering process, we ordered all dishes at once to eat which was brought out as they were ready. The original waitress that took our order never returned to the table. After some time, another employee, male, that was busting tables explained that they would charge us for each dish not eaten and $1.99 for each dumpling not eaten. He said, he hope he we could finish. Well, we couldn’t finish nor did we try to eat these tasteless and unfamiliar dishes in our presence. We were charged $24.99, $1.99 for each dumpling and $4.99-$9.99 per dish not eaten. It wasn’t good for us and my desire for this type of food is no longer palliative. At the end of dining, they ask you to give them a 5 ⭐️rating for a gift. This must be why they have accumulated these ratings**** 👎🏾👎🏾👎🏾👎🏾👎🏾👎🏾👎🏾👎🏾👎🏾👎🏾👎🏾

We found Stellar66 on TikTok… and the hype on the food did not steer us wrong! My husband and I ordered the Half Signature Peking Duck and it was delicious with the best crispy skin. We also tried the mixed assortment of soup dumplings which are actually homemade, also very yummy!! Completely forgot to take a picture, we finished them so fast! Highly recommend visiting this restaurant, I’m bringing friends next time to do the table side full Peking Duck experience!!!

This is my second review for Asian City. I absolutely love the food here. It’s always hot and fresh. It’s a small restaurant with that mom and pop vibe. Definitely my go to spot for good asian food. Update: Went back again as this is my favorite Asian place near me. Food is always consistent and delicious. Got the General Tso lunch special with egg drop soup and a side of crab rangoons. So Good! Shout out to the great staff!

I love this place! I have been coming to this place since they opened. Recently they replaced their dining room tables and I love them. I love the owner she’s super friendly. It’s a family owned business they have their kids working there which I love to see. Definitely try this one out.

Really wonderful! Flavorful, generous portions, nicely priced. We went for lunch, had the best General Tso’s chicken! Also delicious Mongolian beef and Hunan beef!! great “First Date” place-I have already referred my friends and some clients, and they all enjoyed it also. So happy :) Still coming back and satisfied!

So I’ll preface by saying that this USED to be a good restaurant with a polite and respectful staff. Man how the times have changed. There is a dearth of good Chinese food restaurants in Gilbert so we have been here many times, in the past we had one or two things that were slightly off, but were acceptable. Once they’d over-salted a dish and asked how we felt and my wife said it was a little too salty, the chef came right out and said he’d like to remake it so we were satisfied to which we said that was not necessary. He was so nice and the food wasn’t that bad so she wouldn’t let him remake it. The food now is just a huge downgrade from what we had come to expect. We ordered a beef dish - Garlic Beef. We tried to ask the rude order counter lady employee which dish she’d recommend she said “they are all different I don’t know,” then we asked “does it have vegetables” she snapped “yes it has vegetables I can’t tell you what kind of vegetables it has.” So we wait for the food and the Garlic Beef was simply disgusting it tasted like white sugar dumped on peas, carrots, broccoli and beef! It was not edible. So a different lady who had served the food asked us how our food was and we said “is this the Garlic Beef extra spicy as we’d requested?” She said it was to which we replied “normally garlic dishes are not very sweet.” Then the rude lady came up to us and said “Garlic Beef is always sweet.” My wife is Chinese and we looked at each other and both said “we’ve never had garlic food of ANY kind that’s sweet and we don’t like it at all and there is nothing on the menu saying it’s sweet and you didn’t mention it.” She gave us a rude look and said well ours is sweet and walked off! No offer to make it again and an attitude like - duh you don’t know Garlic Beef is sweet? Needless to say they lost us as customers and I advise you to look elsewhere, the vegetables and meat used to always taste fresh and crisp now I think it’s all frozen crap. If you read my reviews, you’ll see I rarely give a negative review and typically only like to promote restaurants that I want other people to try because their food is delicious so this is a rarity for me to make a complaint about a restaurant.

Are you searching for exceptional Chinese cuisine and outstanding service? Look no further! We stumbled upon this restaurant because the photos on their website looked enticing, and we were in for a delightful surprise. The food was extraordinary - some of the best orange chicken, hot and sour soup, and fried rice you'll ever taste! But it wasn't just the food that made our experience memorable. Our young server (whose name I regrettably can't recall) went above and beyond to ensure our comfort. When my elderly mother mentioned feeling chilly, he promptly adjusted the air conditioning. Within minutes, she was comfortable again. This level of attentiveness is rare, and it truly set this dining experience apart. The combination of amazing food and exceptional service has left a lasting impression on us. We're grateful to our server, who clearly takes pride in his work and treats customers with genuine care. Needless to say, we will definitely be returning!

Small Mom and Pop restaurant. Almond chicken and sweet and sour pork were delicious. Egg drop soup was good. Friendly staff. Support Local business.

Clean restaurant, good service and tasty food. There were 6 of us that met for dinner and we each ordered the Special Family Dinner. This included an appetizer, soup and fried rice of our choice. We ordered 6 different entrees so we could all try each dish. There was PLENTY of food for all of us and we had 5 to-go boxes when we left! Worth a try if you’re in the SE Valley and looking for Chinese food.

This was wonderful. Great service and even better food. Got general tso chicken and Mongolian beef. Chicken was deliciously crispy and the veggies in the beef dish could not have been fresher. Portions were enough for two meals

Love the design of this new Panda store. Quick and friendly service, fresh and tasty foods, great ambiance. The manager in charge was very friendly and helpful.

Decent Panda experience, but would suggest they do a better job of keeping items available during busy hours. I've been here twice now and both times they have either been out of my preferred selection or I received the last helping (which can run a little on the cold side). Mind you, this was between 5 and 6pm, which I'd assume would be a busy time for them. This is a problem simply solved by having the servers on the line recognize that they need to be asking the cooks to fire entrées with only a few servings left. It wasn't until I took the last serving that I heard them ask to fire more. It's also soooo frustrating to be literally at the counter ordering and seeing someone from the drive-thru scoop out the last helping of the item you were going to order. Again, simple recognition of need would solve this issue. Additionally, management, or whomever is responsible for ordering items, needs to stay on top of having ingredients on hand for popular dishes. I was told they were "out" of the sauce required to make more honey sesame chicken. I was told this after watching the person in front of me take the last portion available 😬 Not a pleasant dining experience.

I really wanted to like this restaurant. The egg rolls were great, and good egg rolls are hard to find. The pork fried rice was tasty. I ordered take out at 1:30 pm thinking I was getting lunch prices. When I got home I found they charged my card $43.00. (It should have been about $23.00, which is what the woman told me at the counter when I paid.) When I called, they said they had given me the dinner portions of pork fried rice, and that was why it was so expensive. They refused to refund the difference. The man I spoke to said they would refund my tip. What? I tipped them 15% on what I thought was a 23.00 charge. They over charged me almost $20.00. As much as I liked their food, I won’t go back. And I guess I’ll have to keep an eye on my credit card for a while and see what else pops up.

Best Chinese restaurant! I really like the fried shrimps, it’s very crispy and delicious. Make sure you try the beef chow fun, honey glazed walnut shrimp and Singapore rice noodles!

Disappointing bad food, and very limited choices. First, they were out of the majority of the menu, we were down to 4th and 5th choices, they didn't even have eggrolls. The sweet and sour soup was OK, the shrimp was 75% breading, still had the tails on, and was cooked in old oil. The sesame chicken was over breaded but otherwise cooked well. The lo main was oily, but crab Rangoon was nice. The meal was unenjoyable and we left 75% of it at the table. The ambiance was OK, but the music constantly cut out, and we were told that it was due to the music and the billing system being not being able to work at the same time. The bathrooms were a bit dirty. The one plus was that the staff was very friendly and helpful. Cannot recommend.

This place was miracle! I came with my family looking for a restaurant to satisfy our cravings, and little did we know, this would be the best decision of our lives! Our server, Arvin, was possibly the best person for this job! So helpful and caring, he insured that we enjoy our time at Mr. Rice! Arvin deserves a raise by the quality of work he put into making sure that we were properly served! The food was phenomenal, and we tried out the entire menu! The service was even better, we barely had to wait before our food was presented to us. We definitely will be coming back! I recommend any and all who are looking for an awesome place to eat with such good customer service and food, come to Mr. Rice Asian cuisine!

Excellent Chinese Food and they have great vegetarian options! We have been coming here for at least 14-15 years now. They've always been making the food very tasty, and I'm glad they're still around. Staff is also very kind to us. I highly recommend this place!

Amazing Chinese food. They lunch specials are fairly priced and the amount of food you get is more than enough. We had plenty to take home. The Thai tea is 10/10! We loved the shrimp lo mein and their orange chicken. Definitely worth a try

Absolutely delicious! The portions are great, and so is the cost. I am sensitive, and most Chinese food makes my joints ache the next day. However, I was just fine after eating the chow mein and crab puffs. We will definitely be back again.

This is our go-to local Chinese food joint. Always good. Always quick. And always delicious. Their portions are outstanding and quality of food is exceptional. We get their fried rice, sweet and sour chicken, beef and broccoli and Mongolian beef but have had many dishes and they are all great. They never disappoint. 10/10, highly recommend.

We ordered the deluxe dinner for two for $52.88. The appetizers, wonton soup (simply amazing) and the two entrees (Mongolian Beef and Honey spicy shrimp and chicken), were all perfectly done. You can tell that they use quality ingredients and pay attention to detail in everything they do. Clean and organized place, aesthetics are just right. Thanks, Misha, for introducing me to this amazing Chinese restaurant.

I had chicken low mein very good lots of chicken Husband had Kung pao spicy but both too spicy. Will go back again.

I eat here at least twice a month. The most flavorful chinese food I have found in the valley. I typically order the following and not have been disappointed at all. I will recommend the following, fried and steamed dumpling pork spare ribs, beef lo mein, beef egg foo Yung, orange chicken and both of the rice are great.

I miss Chinese food from the East Coast, where the flavors were rich, the aromas intoxicating, and the dishes were crafted with an artistry that felt unique to the region. From spicy Szechuan dishes to comforting dim sum, every meal was a delightful exploration of taste and culture. Here in Arizona, the quest for that same quality often feels daunting. Many places seem to compromise on authenticity, serving dishes that lack the depth and passion found in the East Coast's bustling kitchens. However, my culinary journey took a delightful turn when I discovered King Wok Chinese Restaurant. From the moment I stepped inside, I was welcomed by the familiar scent of sizzling garlic and soy sauce wafting through the air. Each dish served was a reminder of the flavors I had been yearning for: the perfectly crispy spring rolls, the savory fried rice brimming with fresh vegetables, and the sweet-and-sour chicken that made my taste buds sing. King Wok has not only restored my hopes for Chinese food in Arizona but has also ignited a new excitement in my dining experience. Each meal feels like a cherished memory from the East Coast while still carrying its own unique charm.
