Sakura Cafe
The food was fantastic! The chicken katsu was amazing, my first time having it and I was very impressed. I Also had their hot and sour soup and it’s one of the best that I’ve had. My daughter had the Philadelphia role. It was her first time having sushi with raw fish in it and she ate it all and loved it. My son got his usual of sweet-and-sour chicken and was very happy. My wife had to do some changes to her sushi order and they accommodated her with no problems. All the sushi was excellent. We were just passing through this area and glad that we gave this a try. It doesn’t look like much from the outside, but the food was fresh and fantastic.
For the second year in a row, during our stay on Dauphin Island, we chose to dine at Thai Chinese Sakura Café, and once again, it was a wonderful experience! The food is absolutely delicious, prepared with great care and authentic flavors. Additionally, the person who served us was incredibly friendly, making our visit even more special. We wish the restaurant much success, and we’ll definitely be back on our next trip. Highly recommend it to anyone looking for quality food and a warm atmosphere!
3 Flavors
The employees are so sweet! Everybody’s so kind to everyone. I ordered the chicken pad thai, thai tea, crab fried rice, the sampler plate combo, and the bama roll. Everything was sooo good. I found myself eating with my eyes closed it was so good.
Was first time there. Server was great, food came quickly. Curry was a little soupy, Tom Kha (coconut soup) was a little sweeter than I had elsewhere. Pineapple fried rice was good. Fire poppers were good. Overall was a decent experience. Thought about pics after we were into eating, sorry.
The Boiling Pot
The food was fantastic, a definite will visit again, when traveling. The staff was so courteous and patient while I asked questions. While the inside is dated, we were not there for the ambiance. Again, the food was spot on!
I started getting pickup orders from there a while back and they have quickly become one of my favorite spots to get food for my whole family. The staff is wonderful and everything always tastes delicious! My only gripe is that I like my coleslaw heavy on the pepper and theirs is a bit on the sweet side... 😂
Siam Thai Cuisine
I celebrated my daughter's birthday at Siam Thai. We were met at the door by smiling waitresses. The whole atmosphere was very beautiful. The food was delicious and the presentation was very beautiful. The waitress was very attentive to our every need, they also sang Happy Birthday to my daughter: we will definitely be eating there again.
Really nice Thai restaurant. All the small details make the dining experience nice. Flowers on the tables, decorative napkins and the decor was really nice. We had the pineapple curry with chicken and the Thai fried rice with chicken. Both were delicious. It came with a miso soup, but I've had better soup. Overall I'd recommend them. We've been there several times, always good.
Big Time Diner
Hostess stand is hidden, let it be known it is not seat yourself. Service is pitiful, actually felt bad for the other patrons of the restaurant. Everything here is additional charge, no entrees come with sides. Place needs a cleaning bad, Loud atmosphere, only thing keeping this place open is the diner atmosphere and the old regulars. Asked two different server for napkins beside our server, because we already asked her for napkins and none of them brought napkins. Lack of service or care, not sure. A special needs patron walked in, and staff stopped and stared at the special needs patron.
Been coming here since I was a child, I remember the toys being lined all around the ceiling ledge. Food is always fresh!
Judy's Place
I won’t say that I tell everything about a restaurant based on their ranch dressing. But I can tell a lot. And Judy’s has really good ranch dressing. I ordered chicken fried chicken, mashed potatoes and mac & cheese. They were out of mashed potatoes, but to be fair I did come in close to closing time. My waiter was very cordial and friendly and I didn’t even think twice about it. But, I bet their mashed potatoes were good, because everything I ate was delicious. CFC was thick and the batter was perfect and crispy. The cucumber salad has a good flavor and fresh ingredients. I will definitely be returning to Judy’s on my next visit.
I came here during a busy lunch hour, but there was plenty of seating and I just knew my food was going to be fresh and hot. I ordered the chicken fried steak it was fresh hot and phenomenal. The mashed potatoes were delicious and the mac and cheese was really good. My waitress was very attentive even tho she was busy and made sure we were straight. I will be returning here once more.
SUSHI 9 THAI & JAPANESE RESTAURANT
Awesome spot for authentic and delicious Thai food as well as other Asian dishes! Their sushi is awesome and consistently good. My personal favorite is their house fried rice that’s plenty for 2.
absolutely phenomenal!! went in at around 8 for a quiet dinner and Sushi 9 provided really well! me and my sister got a total of 3 rolls and loved each one of them. their miso soup was wonderful, which was on the house by the way. the service was impeccable. also, their hot tea has free refills so if you’re like a tea fanatic like me, this is the place you’d be happy to choose!
Vandals Street Kitchen
There are few places I eat that leave an impression on me but Vandals will live in my mind for a very long time. I ate with a group of 6 and we sampled the whole menu. Everything we ate was an absolute home run of a dish. The Korean fried chicken was seasoned and cooked perfectly. The ramen was delicious and layered. The tacos and chips and salsa were fantastic. All the food was hot and fresh when it came out. The service was great and never faltered.
I truly enjoyed my visit to Vandals! I had this resteraunt on my list of places to visit for a year! I happened to be at an appointment at Providence Hospital but had no idea this resteraunt was right in front of it, I was so excited! I loved my waitress, she was great! I got a little of everything! I tried blueberry margarita and the Vietnamese coffee with kahlua. Both were great, but the blueberry margarita with the rim was delicious! For starters, I tried the Brussel sprouts and street corn. The Brussel sprouts had too much honey taste and sauce, so I was sad once the crunch ended and the sweetness took over, but the street corn made up for it. For the entree, I got the fried chicken bowl, and it was great! I wish it had also been a little less sweet, but it literally says hot honey in description, so it's what I picked and what I got, lol. Lastly, I got the churros. They are delicious and what any sweet tooth would crave! So I loved my experience. I loved trying everything. My sweet tooth isn't as sweet as I thought, going into my 40s this year and maybe savory will be more my friend than sweets 🤨😅☺️. P.S. My kids loved all my leftovers, nothing was left by the next morning!
Phnom Penh Fusion
Amazingly delicious food, super friendly service. Probably one of the best Pad Thai dishes I've ever had. The seafood was cooked perfectly and everything tasted so fresh. Can't wait to go back.
This place is that restaurant that when you walk in, you’re not impressed by the ambiance but you’ll be deeply impressed by the food! The sushi is excellent. The owner makes delicious pad Thai that my husband adds both seafood and beef to, and makes my fried rice to order (spicy and add basil) plus the sushi is delicious! Try the chicken enchiladas appetizer. It is not remotely what you’d expect — there is nothing Mexican about it! Delicious — and well worth the trip!
Baudean's Seafood Restaurant & Bar
March 2025 Monday night - All you can eat crab legs. I think we spent around $50 each. With this, you got either gumbo or Cole slaw and then a Salad. The crab legs came out with lemon, a boiled potato and half a corn on the cob. More Crab legs came out within a few minutes of asking for more. Crab legs were steamed and tasty with the butter sauce. Hubby loved the Cole slaw. The gumbo was just ok. I’m from St. Louis, and I enjoy the crab leg boils in a bag out here with all the seasonings. That averages about $35, but it’s not all you can eat. We also got the alligator as an appetizer. I’ve had better at a place in PCB, this was a little chewy, but I think alligator is a chewy meat anyway. Over all It was a nice experience. I would say it’s just too pricey, but I knew that coming in. I loved the lady’s accents here. Our server was very sweet, she was busy but still was able to get us everything we asked for in a timely manner.
The food here was absolutely amazing !!!!!!! On the appetizer we had the kaboom shrimp and they was honestly about the best shrimp we have ever had. The large hamburger steak with mashed potatoes was also delicious. Oh and the dessert speak for themselves. Our server was Ms.Debra she was sweet and took really good care of us. I would definitely eat here again without any hesitation. I would give this place 6 starts if that was an option.
Jersey Mike's Subs
Love Jersey Mike's! Wish there was one a lil closer to our house! Guess it makes it that much better 😋😍it's not that far really, just so many others practically walking distance, but it truly is WORTH it at JM!! This location is always great, friendly & helpful! Thanks!! I don't remember if this is the same locale! But Googs wants an update..still ❤️Jersey Mike's, very much Worth It! Peeps have changed, but they are very friendly and helpful👍food is so Good😋😋😋
The sub was a bit pricey. But it was delicious. I bought a gargantuan sub. It was bigger than a large sub from Subway. It was 15 inches and every bite of it was tasty.
Benja's Thai & Sushi Restaurant
Terrible, rancid. No one else there, but took more than 30 minutes after ordering to get food (that was very unappetizing) served on paper plates. My teenage son couldn't even stomach the Pad Thai.
I got the Japanese bagel roll. It was good. I got the ginger salad as well, which was good! However, my boyfriend said he would never come back & could hardly finish his. He got the bama roll. He said there was something about it that he just couldn’t stomach. We also got cream cheese wontons & in both of our opinion, they were not very good. His son got French fries, as the kids menu was very limited so we just let him pick. They were delicious! The service was quick, the server was very friendly, & the restaurant itself was clean.
