Canoe Hill
Horrible food.Overpriced! Charged 2$ for three small crostini for they did not serve enough with appetizer. Felt sick after the Shepard pie. Raw cold Brussels sprouts. Deceiving advertising for the oysters limiting their lower price to bar area only which was unavailable. Service slow and inattentive. A bar drink took 20 minutes to be served. Used to be a good place. Would never go back there again.
Had such a fun time over at Canoe Hill on Saturday! Toned down lighting and staff that know exactly when to chat with you and when to let you be. O, did I mention the phenomenal original cocktails? Superb!
Chinatown
This restaurant is a great place to go if you want to get Chinese food and save money doing so. I also love how the drink comes with the dinner combos. However, the first time I went there, I ordered the sesame chicken. It tasted good, but it was tough and dry, which offset the flavor. Though I would definitely recommend ordering their chicken and broccoli (it's absolutely delicious) or anything else that is stir-fried, since they're less likely to lose their plump, juicy texture.
We have gotten food from here twice in the last 2 weeks. Tonight we ordered the family dinner for 3. This might be the best value $$ in this town. It comes with General Tso Chicken, Pepper Steak, Sweet and Sour Chicken (all with fried rice), Egg drop soup, hot and sour soup, 6 cream cheese wonton, 3 egg rolls for $28 after tax. It is a lot of food! I personally don't like sweet and sour chicken so I think you can swap the entrées for an up charge (but we didn't). Aside from that the food is good. Some of the best Chinese takeout we have had in the past few years. I travel for a living and have had a lot of bad Chinese takeout. Our previous order we tried the House special Mei fun and chicken wings.
China King
I always order the same few dishes but they always taste different. We usually get a sesame chicken and sometimes the chicken is rock hard. We also had to stop ordering the vegetable fried rice because the broccoli was inedible. I love egg rolls but here I can only ever taste all of the pepper they put in them and I reckon I just don’t like spicy egg rolls. So, I guess I just wish the food was more consistent. I never know if it’s gonna be great or awful. But the staff is always very sweet, the place is clean and we never have to wait long for our food. I’ve never ate inside, we always order to-go. I would suggest turning down the volume on the tv though, it’s awfully loud.
Fantastic food, service, and price. Ordered this for our group while in town for a funeral. Ordered the General Tso’s, Sesame Chicken, and Chicken Terriyaki. It was enough to feed 5 people for $27. The food was fresh and crispy, the servers were kind and welcoming, and I left impressed. I’ll be sure to come back here when we return to Millbrook.
China Tokyo
Friendly, competent staff and convenient location, but only for take-out! No dine-in during this review, with 'Rona-proofing over the door. Food fairly good. Nice furnishings observed from behind the plexiglass.
The food is amazing, family is so kind, 10/10 recommend their sesame chicken, sweet and sour chicken, vegetable fried rice, spring roll, egg roll. You will be blown away by the flavor!
