Great Wall Chinese Restaurant
It's absolutely horrible. Since this place changed ownership, it has gone downhill bad. This is the worst Chinese food you can spend your money on hands down you can't travel within 60 Mi of damn food this bad. I walked in and ordered the hand in my food in less than 30 seconds. This pre-made garbage tastes like it's been boiled and 2 days old. The General Tso's chicken I ordered is the worst food I have ever eaten. The new owners are 100% garbage. For 20 years, this is my favorite place to eat, but not anymore.
Used to be my wife and my go to place.big servings. Well worth the money,we just ordered from there .and it flat out sucked. Chicken was over cooked and hard as a rock.very little rice, they just don't try anymore I've got better things to do with my 30 dollars. Seeya Great wall, people are tired of being screwed. I can say the same for El Palacios. Your just robbing people. That's 2 down ,who's next? Put some pride in your cooking. YOU BOTH SUCK
Lee's China Buffet
A good Chinese buffet as far as food quality goes. Not the biggest selection, just two buffet lines, but everything was fresh and tasted great. It is pretty high ($17/person after tax), and they don't clear the table for you at all while eating. Steaks available on the hibachi grill - came out well done instead of medium, but still edible.
Great food , kinda dated like an early 2000 Chinese restaurant, especially outside could use some maintenance on the building, but the food was absolutely amazing and delicious, Simple buffets are great for sure. Definitely a stop again place.
China Cafe
First time going here, took a friend. She had orange chicken she said was okay. I had coconut shrimp which I loved! The presentation was real nice, made everything even more tempting. The egg roll & spring rolls I didn’t care too much for, but everything else was delicious! We got 2 drinks & those meals that came out to $27. To me that was a bit too high, yet when I seen the size of the plates, I was satisfied that the price was equal to the portion. It was a bit confusing when we walked in. The girl at front was nice but we had to walk back and forth from table to her to get menus & order. After that food was brought out to us. Staff was friendly & I’ll definitely be back.
I go here every Friday during hghs marching season and my food is still sooo good. I absolutely love this place! The chicken Lo mein is probably the best thing here. The beef lo mein kinda tastes like beef jerky but everything else is amazing! I haven't gotten anything else except for noodles but they are great.
China One
My husband and I ate here today after his appointment in Birmingham. I got the General Tso with white rice and he got the Sweet and Sour chicken with noodles. We looked at the reviews before coming inside and I have to say, I don’t understand the negative reviews. Everything was spot on. The lovely lady who took our order was very friendly and the service was excellent. The food…. Absolutely delicious! I honestly wish we had this place up home. As we ate our lunch, they started to pick up business wise and not one time did I hear anyone get rude. We will definitely be back.
Hole-in-the-wall Chinese place with your typical Americanized menu. Food came out slower than expected for a fast food style Chinese place. Mixed reviews on food. Moo Shu pork did not come with Hoisin sauce to make my wrap and they were confused when I asked. It had flavor but not enough to need the pancakes or rice, also, no mushrooms? Pancakes were well wrapped (and difficult to open). White rice was okay. Lunch boneless spare ribs had decent flavor, fried rice was bland and dry. Fried chicken wings were large (can easily be a meal), could use more flavor, but were pleasantly crispy. Confused because they definitely spoke Chinese, figured food would be more authentic, but should have left when I realized there was no fish tank.
