Chinatown
This restaurant is a great place to go if you want to get Chinese food and save money doing so. I also love how the drink comes with the dinner combos. However, the first time I went there, I ordered the sesame chicken. It tasted good, but it was tough and dry, which offset the flavor. Though I would definitely recommend ordering their chicken and broccoli (it's absolutely delicious) or anything else that is stir-fried, since they're less likely to lose their plump, juicy texture.
We have gotten food from here twice in the last 2 weeks. Tonight we ordered the family dinner for 3. This might be the best value $$ in this town. It comes with General Tso Chicken, Pepper Steak, Sweet and Sour Chicken (all with fried rice), Egg drop soup, hot and sour soup, 6 cream cheese wonton, 3 egg rolls for $28 after tax. It is a lot of food! I personally don't like sweet and sour chicken so I think you can swap the entrées for an up charge (but we didn't). Aside from that the food is good. Some of the best Chinese takeout we have had in the past few years. I travel for a living and have had a lot of bad Chinese takeout. Our previous order we tried the House special Mei fun and chicken wings.
China King
I always order the same few dishes but they always taste different. We usually get a sesame chicken and sometimes the chicken is rock hard. We also had to stop ordering the vegetable fried rice because the broccoli was inedible. I love egg rolls but here I can only ever taste all of the pepper they put in them and I reckon I just don’t like spicy egg rolls. So, I guess I just wish the food was more consistent. I never know if it’s gonna be great or awful. But the staff is always very sweet, the place is clean and we never have to wait long for our food. I’ve never ate inside, we always order to-go. I would suggest turning down the volume on the tv though, it’s awfully loud.
Fantastic food, service, and price. Ordered this for our group while in town for a funeral. Ordered the General Tso’s, Sesame Chicken, and Chicken Terriyaki. It was enough to feed 5 people for $27. The food was fresh and crispy, the servers were kind and welcoming, and I left impressed. I’ll be sure to come back here when we return to Millbrook.
China Garden
I only eat here 2-3 times year, and it is always great (eat low carb, and this is my cheat meal). I usually take one little piece of everything I think I might like for my first small plate, then after that gorge on a plate and a half or so. My go tos are sweet and sour chicken, general tso and black pepper chicken. Black pepper being my favorite. Then of course the string green beans and broccoli are great, and the egg rolls. Mind you, I always eat there about right when they open so I can't speak to if you come 1-2 hrs later, I can imagine that is where some of the negative reviews stem from, food just sitting out for a while. BTW, opening hours of 11am are not correct in google maps, they actually open at 10:30am. If you are an early bird like me, get there between 10:30 and 11:30 you will leave a five star review as well. The Chinese folks are really nice too.
I ate here at like 4pm.i ate the buffet. It was ok. The snaps were the top thing. The General Tsos chicken had good flavor but no heat, hot and spicy shrimp had practically no flavor, sesame chicken was ok, egg rolls were bland, chocolate pudding was ok, donuts they had were good. For what I got it was a lil pricey. I would try again at a different time. I paid like $17 for buffet with a drink. Id say it would of been a better deal if it was like $12- $13.
